Let’s See How This Goes

`Greetings from the North Shore where many of us are breathing a sigh of relief that the Juncos are actually not going to eat us out of house and home.  For a while there, it was touch and go as thousands of birds descended on the North Shore because of snow and wind. They were so hungry. They just gobbled up the seed in our feeders and on the ground. They were fun to watch and we were glad we could help them out, of course, but many stores ran out of sunflower seeds last week because we were all trying to keep up with the deluge.

It’s warmed up now, though, and the snow has melted, at least here, next to Lake Superior, and the Juncos have pretty much moved on.

Bon voyage, my cute little friends. Have a good summer.
