Greetings from the North Shore, where we greet fall with an enthusiastic nod to the artists in our midst. There are art tours throughout the region in the next few weeks, exciting news for art lovers and art makers. Fall colors are a perk for all of us.
One of the biggest on the North Shore is the Art Along the Lake Fall Studio Tour, featuring open studios and gallery exhibits throughout Cook County for 10 days, from Sept. 27 through Oct. 6.
Many of the studios and galleries on the tour feature several different artists as well, expanding the art celebration for everyone. The range of artwork in this tour is extraordinary, including ceramics, paintings, fused glass, weaving, felting, sculpture, wood turned bowls, woodcut prints, photographs, and more. Here are a few examples:
These examples are just a few of the beautiful works that will be on exhibit on this tour. The studios and galleries are open from 10 am to 5 pm daily through Oct. 6. The public is invited. For maps, and more information about the studios and participating artists, click here.
