Greetings from the North Shore, which has been kissed by its first winter snows. Over the hill on the Gunflint Trail, they’ve had snow for awhile now, but Lake Superior’s open water has kept it warmer by the shore. We are happy to see some white on the ground.
We’re also looking forward to this weekend, which is packed full of Holiday markets featuring work by local and regional artists in a variety of mediums. Here are the choices this weekend:

Artists at Work:
Layne Kennedy is running a series of his portraits on his Facebook page and he posted this one of Kevin Kling the other day.
Kling, a playwright, author and storyteller, is truly one of America’s gems, Kennedy writes. You can listen to one of his stories here. It’s about one of his favorite dogs. It’s really funny and touching at the same time. No doubt–Kling is a master storyteller. Click here to listen.
